| Descrição do reverso | Apollo seated left in three-quarter view upon an omphalos, his nude body rendered with careful anatomical detail. He holds a bow in his left hand and rests his right hand upon the omphalos beneath him, upon which a palm branch and grape cluster are depicted to the left. The field is flanked on the left by a dotted border or vine ornament and on the right by the vertical Greek royal legend. A control monogram or symbol appears in the exergue below the ground line. The composition follows the standard Seleucid reverse type derived from Apollo at Daphne, the dynastic deity of the house of Seleukos. |
