The facial features are classically idealized, with a prominent nose, well-defined chin, and a serene, authoritative expression. The fillet of the diadem is clearly visible above the ear, a standard emblem of Hellenistic royal authority. The portrait fills the field boldly, occupying the majority of the flan in the manner characteristic of Seleucid tetradrachm coinage of this period. |

| Popis rubu | Apollo, nude, seated to the left upon a conical omphalos, his body shown in three-quarter view. In his extended right hand he holds two arrows, while his left arm rests upon a grounded bow at his side. To the outer left field, a filleted palm branch appears above a wreath, serving as control symbols. In the exergue below the ground line, a monogram is present, varying by die variety. The reverse type continues the Seleucid dynastic iconography established under Seleukos I, emphasizing the royal house's claimed descent from and devotion to Apollo. The Greek royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΕΛΕΥΚΟΥ runs in the fields to left and right of the deity. |
