Obverse description King Gondophares depicted as a mounted warrior, riding a horse walking to the right, the royal figure holding a whip in his raised hand. The Gondopharan dynastic symbol appears in the field before the horse. The surrounding legend, rendered in Greek characters, is frequently found in a corrupt or partially degraded form on surviving specimens, reading ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΟΝΤΟΣ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΨΝ ΣΑΣΟΥ. The style is characteristic of Indo-Parthian die-cutting, combining Hellenistic iconographic conventions with local artistic traditions.

Obverse lettering ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΟΝΤΟΣ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΑΣΟΥ (usually corrupt)
Reverse description Zeus is depicted standing facing, his right arm extended and holding a winged Nike figure, while his left arm rests at his side. The deity is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition common to Indo-Parthian coinage of the Taxila region. The surrounding Kharosthi legend names the king with his full royal titulature, identifying him as Gudaphara, King of Kings. A secondary Kharosthi inscription reading SASASA appears across the lower field. The overall composition follows the reverse type established by earlier Indo-Greek and Indo-Scythian coinage of the region.
