| Descrizione del dritto | Celticised laureate and bearded male head facing right, derived from the Macedonian prototype of Zeus as seen on Philip II and Alexander III coinage. The hair is rendered in bold, stylised locks with deeply incised waves, the laurel wreath schematically abstracted in typical Celtic fashion. The beard is depicted in broad, curved striations, and the facial features — including the prominent brow, eye, and nose — are boldly modelled in a robust, semi-barbarous style. The whole is enclosed within a beaded border. |
