| Beschrijving voorzijde | Facing lion scalp rendered in high relief, depicted frontally with finely engraved mane radiating symmetrically around the face, large expressive eyes, and a broad feline muzzle. The bold, naturalistic style is characteristic of late 5th to early 4th century BC Samian coinage. No inscription appears on the obverse. The design fills the flan with commanding presence, consistent with the established Samian lion-scalp type used across the civic coinage of this period. |
