Obverse description Central device depicts a cista mystica — a sacred wicker basket with a partially open lid — from which a serpent emerges and coils upward to the right, rendered in high relief in the characteristic cistophoric style. The cista is set within an elaborate ivy wreath composed of large, stylized ivy leaves and berries encircling the entire field, forming the principal decorative border. The overall composition follows the standard Hellenistic cistophoric iconographic tradition established in western Asia Minor, with bold, deeply struck relief elements. No legend appears on the obverse.
