Beschrijving voorzijde Diademed head of Ptolemy I Soter facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition with strongly modeled features, wavy hair drawn back from the forehead, and a prominent, individualized profile. The king wears a diadem tied at the nape of the neck, and an aegis with the head of a serpent visible at the lower truncation of the neck, a distinctive iconographic element of the Ptolemaic dynastic portrait type. The flan border shows traces of a dotted inner circle. The portraiture is bold and high-relief, typical of the Ptolemaic silver coinage of the mid-third century BC.

Beschrijving keerzijde Eagle with closed wings standing left on a thunderbolt, head turned back to the right in the characteristic Ptolemaic eagle type. To the left of the eagle, the Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ runs vertically along the rim. A monogram and control marks appear in the left field, with a regnal year numeral (ΛΙ or ΛΞ, corresponding to year 37) also visible in the field. The composition is typical of the Ptolemaic tetradrachm reverse as standardized under Ptolemy II Philadelphus, with the eagle serving as the primary dynastic emblem.
