| Reverse description | An eagle with wings closed stands facing left atop a thunderbolt, rendered in the canonical Ptolemaic reverse type. A laurel branch appears above the eagle's shoulders. To the left of the eagle's right leg, the Isis solar headdress (sistrum symbol) appears, though often obscured by wear. To the left of the eagle, the regnal year expressed in Greek numerals (e.g., Lι for Year 10) is inscribed in the field, while to the right the Paphos mint monogram (ΠΑ) identifies the issuing workshop. A circular legend reading ΠTOΛEMAIOΥ BAΣΙΛEΩΣ runs along the outer border of the reverse. |
