Obverse description Diademed and bearded head of Prusias II in right-facing profile, rendered in high relief in the Hellenistic tradition. The king's curly hair is carefully detailed, swept back beneath a broad royal diadem whose ends fall behind the neck. The portrait exhibits strong physiognomic individuality characteristic of late Hellenistic royal coinage, with a prominent nose, firm jaw, and naturalistic musculature of the neck. The field is plain and unadorned, focusing full attention on the royal effigy. No legend appears on the obverse.
