Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Probus facing right, rendered in the characteristic Alexandrian style with a radiate-crested helmet over the laureate wreath visible in some specimens; the emperor is depicted with a short beard and strong facial features. The cuirass is finely detailed with decorative elements at the shoulder. The Greek legend encircles the bust, reading clockwise from the left field.

Reverse description Athena seated left upon a throne, holding a figure of Nike (Victory) in her extended right hand and a long sceptre in her left hand; a large round shield rests against the left side of the throne. The composition is characteristic of Alexandrian civic iconography, rendered with clarity despite the potin fabric. The date legend appears in the left field.
