Reverse description Within a recessed incuse square, a bunch of grapes pendant from a vine branch with leaves, enclosed by a linear inner square border. The magistrate's name ΠΟΛΥΑΡΗΤΟΣ is inscribed along the sides of the incuse square in Greek characters. The deeply sunk incuse square is a hallmark of the Abderan fabric, characteristic of the city's silver coinage throughout the fifth century BC.
