| 表面の説明 | Diademed bust of Phraates IV facing left, portrayed in the Hellenistic tradition with a distinctive short, wavy beard rendered in fine parallel lines. The king wears a torque at the neck and his hair is depicted in multiple rows of tightly crimped curls falling behind the ear, characteristic of late Arsacid portraiture. The royal diadem is tied at the back with trailing ends visible behind the head. The obverse field is plain, with no legend, the portrait occupying the full flan in a bold, slightly stylized manner typical of the Seleucia mint. |

| 裏面の説明 | Arsaces I, the dynastic founder, shown enthroned to the left on an omphalos throne, his right hand extended to receive a bow from a standing figure — likely Nike or a royal attendant — facing him on the right. The enthroned figure wears traditional Parthian dress. A Greek legend surrounds the scene in the field and along the border, reading the full royal titulature of Phraates IV. The composition follows the standard Arsacid tetradrachm reverse type established at the Seleucia on the Tigris mint, with a monogram visible in the lower exergue. |
