Obverse description Draped bust of Phraates IV facing left, rendered in the distinctive Parthian artistic tradition. The king wears an elaborate tiara or diadem adorned with multiple rows of beading, with waved hair descending in carefully articulated curls behind the ear and onto the shoulder. A short, rounded beard frames the face, and a torque is visible at the neck. The bust is shown with dotted border beads along the coin's lower periphery, with the field otherwise plain and unlettered, emphasizing the regal portrait.
