| Opis awersu | Youthful head of Herakles facing right, wearing the lion skin headdress, the scalp drawn over the crown with the forepaws knotted at the throat and the mane rendered in bold, flowing relief. The facial features are finely modelled in the idealized Lysippan tradition, with a strong profile, prominent brow, and slightly parted lips. The flan is broad and well-centred, with the portrait filling the field in a manner characteristic of the Tarsos mint during the early Diadoch period. No legend appears on the obverse. |
