Obverse description Draped bust of Artemis facing right, her hair elegantly coiffed and bound with a stephane, with a bow and quiver of arrows visible over her left shoulder. The portrait is rendered in fine Hellenistic style, with naturalistic facial features and a graceful neckline. A dotted border frames the design. The goddess is depicted with characteristic iconography associated with her role as divine huntress.

Reverse description Eagle standing right with wings spread wide, rendered in bold relief; a bee appears to the right of the eagle as a civic badge of Abydos. The entire composition is enclosed within a wreath of laurel. The ethnic legend ABYΔHNΩN appears alongside the magistrate's name ΦЄΡЄΝΙΚΟΥ, identifying this issue with the stephanephoros Pherenikos.
