| 表面の説明 | Central field depicts a cista mystica — a wicker chest sacred to Dionysus — with a serpent emerging from its partially open lid and coiling upward to the right. The entire design is enclosed within a broad encircling ivy wreath, its berried clusters rendered in high relief and arranged symmetrically around the perimeter. The composition follows the standard cistophoric type introduced in Pergamon and adopted by Laodicea ad Lycum, conveying Dionysiac religious symbolism. No inscriptions appear on the obverse. The style is characteristic of late Hellenistic Asia Minor engraving. |

| 裏面の説明 | Two serpents rise from the lower field and coil symmetrically around a central bow case (gorytos), their heads confronting one another at the top. To the left of the bow case appears the civic abbreviation ΛΑΟ, identifying the issuing city of Laodicea. A winged kerykeion (caduceus) is positioned to the right. Between the serpents' heads, the name of the responsible magistrate is inscribed — in this case ΦΑϹΙϹ (Phasis). The reverse type is consistent with the standard cistophoric tetradrachm series and follows established Hellenistic compositional conventions. |
