| Reverse description | Zeus Nikephoros seated on throne facing left, his upper body bare and a himation draped over his lower limbs. In his outstretched right hand he holds a small standing figure of Hekate, the goddess depicted holding a torch in each raised hand, a distinctive iconographic choice unique to Pantaleon's coinage. In his left hand Zeus grasps a long scepter. A dynastic monogram appears in the inner left field. The composition follows the enthroned Zeus type established by Seleukid and Baktrian royal coinage, here adapted with the unusual Hekate attribute. |
