| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in the refined Hellenistic style characteristic of late second-century BC Milesian coinage. The deity's long, flowing hair falls in thick, naturalistic locks behind the neck, surmounted by a prominent laurel wreath with well-defined individual leaves. The facial features display a youthful idealism with a straight nose and gently parted lips, consistent with the Apollo type employed throughout the Milesian stephanephoric series. The entire design is enclosed within a neat border of dots. |
