Obverse description Bust of Orodes II facing left, depicted with a short beard and long wavy hair cascading behind the neck, wearing a royal diadem tied at the back. The king is attired in an elaborate torque necklace and beaded or dotted armour visible at the shoulder, rendered in the Hellenistic-influenced Parthian artistic tradition. The effigy is portrayed in high relief against a smooth field, with no legend on the obverse, the design filling the flan to its irregular edges.
