Obverse description Bare-headed, diademed bust of Orodes II facing left, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with short, waved hair and a full beard. The king wears a torque and elaborate beaded necklace with a prominent collar adorned with spherical ornaments. The portrait displays strong, individualised facial features characteristic of Parthian royal iconography. A beaded border encircles the coin, typical of tetradrachm coinage of this series.
