Reverse description Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war, seated left upon a throne, holding Nike in her extended right hand and a long sceptre in her left. A large round shield rests beneath the throne chair. The regnal date L-B (Year 2, corresponding to 283-284 AD) is distributed across the field to either side of the figure, following standard Alexandrian dating convention. The composition is typical of late Roman Egyptian provincial tetradrachm reverse types.
