Reverse description Zeus depicted nude and standing facing left, his right arm raised and extended to hurl a thunderbolt, his left hand grasping a long sceptre; the field is adorned with seven six-pointed stellar rosettes arranged around the deity, three to the left and four distributed to the right, filling the open ground. The composition is characteristic of Cretan provincial issues of the Julio-Claudian period, rendered in a bold, somewhat archaic provincial style. A suspension hole pierces the flan at the top of the coin.
