| Obverse description | Diademed and youthful bare-headed portrait of Mithridates VI Eupator in right-facing profile, rendered in the idealized Hellenistic manner with pronounced divine pretension. The king's abundant, wildly flowing hair streams dramatically upward and back from the brow, a hallmark stylistic convention of this Pontic royal coinage. The facial features are finely modeled, displaying a strong aquiline nose, sharply defined eye, and firm jaw, reflecting the high artistic standard of the Pergamene mint engravers.
