A simple royal diadem is tied across the forehead, with the ends trailing behind. The portrait is boldly modeled in high relief, occupying the majority of the flan, with a smooth, unadorned field to the right of the effigy. |

| Popis rubu | A stag grazing left, depicted in a naturalistic stance with head lowered, set at center of the field. The Greek legend BAΣΙΛΕΩΣ arches above, while ΜΙΘΡΑΔΑΤΟΥ and ΕΥΠΑΤΟΡΟΣ appear in two lines below the stag, identifying the issuer as King Mithridates Eupator. To the left of the stag is a star-in-crescent symbol, a dynastic emblem of the Pontic royal house. The regnal year ΓΙΣ (year 213 of the Pontic era, equating to 85 BC) appears above a monogram to the right, and the month letter Β is placed in the exergue. The entire design is enclosed within a Dionysiac wreath composed of ivy leaves and fruit clusters. |
