Beschrijving voorzijde Diademed and youthful bare-headed portrait of Mithridates VI Eupator facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic royal tradition with idealized features strongly influenced by portraits of Alexander the Great. The hair is elaborately dressed in long, deeply modelled flowing locks that radiate dynamically from the crown and cascade over the neck and temples, a hallmark of the Pontic royal iconographic programme. The diadem, a plain fillet tied at the back, is just visible above the forehead. The portrait is executed in high relief with fine artisanal skill, conveying both regal authority and youthful vigour.

Beschrijving keerzijde Pegasus grazing to the left, the winged horse rendered with elegant naturalism, its head lowered to the ground and wings folded along the body. In the left field, the characteristic Pontic royal badge of a star-in-crescent appears prominently. To the right of the type, the regnal year IΣ (year 210 of the Pontic era, equating to 88 BC) is inscribed above a control monogram. In the exergue, the letter A denotes the first month of issue. The entire type is enclosed within a Dionysiac wreath composed of ivy leaves and berries, the encircling legend BAΣIΛEΩΣ MIΘPAΔATOY EYΠATOPOΣ (of King Mithridates Eupator) running within the wreath border.
