The portrait is executed with exceptional artistic refinement, displaying a strong profile with a straight nose, full lips, and a resolute expression characteristic of the royal Pontic coinage struck at Pergamum. To the left, a star-in-crescent symbol is placed above a monogram. To the right, the regnal year ΘΙΣ (year 219) appears above a second monogram, and the month designation BI is inscribed in the exergue. The entire design is encircled by a Dionysiac wreath composed of ivy leaves and clusters of fruit. |
