| Reverse description | Pegasus standing left with head lowered in grazing pose, rendered with fine detail in the Hellenistic tradition. In the left field, the distinctive Pontic royal badge of a star-in-crescent. To the right of the type, the regnal year HΣ (year 208 of the Pontic era) above a control monogram; in the exergue, the month letter Θ (ninth month). The entire design is enclosed within a Dionysiac wreath composed of ivy leaves and clusters of fruit, a hallmark of Mithridatic coinage. The flanking legend BAΣIΛEΩΣ MIΘPAΔATOY EYΠATOPOΣ runs around the inner border of the wreath. |
