| Beschrijving keerzijde | Standing nude figure of Herakles facing left in the Hellenistic tradition, extending a kantharos (drinking cup) in his right hand, with a lion's skin draped over his left forearm and a club resting against his left arm. A four-line Greek legend arranged in the field provides the royal titulature of the issuer. Exergual and field control marks — including monograms and Greek letter sequences — vary by emission and function as mint or magistrate identifiers across Sellwood types 13.1 through 13.5. The reverse composition reflects the deliberate adoption of Hellenistic iconographic conventions by the early Parthian court to assert legitimacy among Greek-speaking subjects. |
