| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Maximianus Herculius facing right, with short beard, set within a dotted border. The emperor's effigy is rendered in the characteristic late Roman provincial style of the Alexandrian mint, with bold, robust modelling of the facial features. The Greek legend ΜΑΞΙΜΙΑΝΟC CЄΒ (Maximianus Augustus) runs along the periphery of the flan. |

| Reverse description | Dikaiosyne (Justice, the Greek equivalent of Aequitas) standing facing, head turned to the left, holding a set of scales in her raised right hand and a cornucopiae in her left arm. The regnal date legend appears in the field, with L (denoting the Egyptian regnal year) to the left and the year numeral to the right; the workshop letter appears in the exergue. The figure is rendered in the simplified, linear style typical of late third-century Alexandrian tetradrachms. |
