| Beschrijving keerzijde | Eagle standing facing left with both wings fully spread, its head turned to hold a wreath or crown in its beak, rendered in the bold, stylized manner typical of Alexandrian tetradrachm reverses. The bird's powerful body and outstretched plumage fill the flan, with the tail feathers visible below. To the left of the eagle, in the field, appears the date formula L A (regnal Year 1), enclosed within a dotted border. This reverse type, featuring the imperial eagle as a symbol of Roman authority and apotheosis, is standard for Alexandrian issues of the crisis-era emperors. |
