| Obverse description | Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, rendered in the idealizing Hellenistic style with flowing, wind-swept hair. The effigy bears the ram's horn of Ammon curling forward above the ear, emblematic of Alexander's divine association with Zeus-Ammon. The portrait exhibits finely detailed, voluminous locks framing the face, with the diadem visible across the upper brow. The flan shows a characteristic irregular border typical of hammered Hellenistic coinage. No legend appears on the obverse. |
