Obverse description Youthful bare head of Heracles in right profile, wearing the Nemean lion-skin headdress, the scalp covering the crown with the beast's open jaws forming a cap and the forelegs knotted at the throat. The bold, high-relief portrait displays finely rendered curly hair escaping beneath the pelt, with strong facial features characteristic of the Alexandrine coinage tradition. The coin is struck on an irregular flan with a beaded border visible at the rim.
