Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a backless throne, his extended right hand supporting an eagle with closed wings, while his left hand grasps a long sceptre. In the left field, the forepart of a lion striding left is positioned above a control monogram; a second monogram appears below the throne. The reverse legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ arcs above and ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ below in the field, rendered in crisp Greek majuscules consistent with the Sardis mint production under Lysimachus.
