Obverse description Diademed head of the deified Alexander III (the Great) facing right, rendered in the idealized Hellenistic portrait style with flowing, voluminous curls framing the face. A small ram's horn of Ammon curls forward above the ear, signifying Alexander's divine association with Zeus-Ammon. The portrait is bold and finely engraved in high relief, with the diadem clearly visible among the hair. A dotted border encircles the design near the coin's rim. No legend appears on the obverse.

Reverse description Athena Nikephoros seated left upon a throne, wearing helmet and aegis, holding in her outstretched right hand a small Nike who crowns the royal name of Lysimachus. Her left arm rests upon a large round shield decorated with a lion's-head boss. A transverse spear leans behind her. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ flanks the figure. Monograms appear in the left field and in the exergue, serving as mint or magistrate control marks.
