| Obverse description | Diademed head of Alexander the Great facing right, rendered in the idealized Hellenistic portrait style, with the horn of Ammon curling above his ear — a divine attribute asserting his descent from the god Zeus-Ammon. The portrait is executed with fine engraving, displaying a strong profile with naturalistic facial features characteristic of the Lysimachan coinage tradition.
