The portrait is rendered in the idealized Hellenistic style, with finely engraved hair emerging from beneath the diadem and flowing behind the neck. The surface of the cheek and jaw conveys the youthful, heroic character characteristic of posthumous Lysimachean coinage. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Athena Nikephoros seated left on a high-backed throne, her left arm resting on a large round shield set against the throne's side, and her outstretched right hand presenting a small winged Nike. The goddess is draped in a peplos and wears a crested Attic helmet. The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ runs along the left and right fields respectively. To the left of the throne stands a herm, and in the exergue appear two monograms serving as mint or magistrate control marks. |
