| Opis awersu | Heavily abstracted and stylised laureate bearded male head facing right, derived from the Macedonian prototype but rendered in the characteristic Celtic idiom with bold, schematic relief. The facial features are reduced to sweeping curvilinear forms; the hair and laurel wreath dissolve into a cascade of stylised pellets and lentoid strokes. A prominent triangular motif is visible in the lower field, a hallmark of this Kreuzelreiter series. The flan is irregularly shaped and pierced near the upper rim, consistent with later use as a pendant. |
