| Opis rewersu | Crude and heavily degraded diademed bust facing left, derived from an earlier royal prototype but rendered in a markedly barbarized fashion. The surrounding legend, originally in Greek, is largely illegible and reduced to a series of degenerate letterforms distributed around the bust. The progressive deterioration of the die engraving reflects the decline of Hellenistic artistic conventions in Elymais during the late Kamnaskirid period. The strike is weak and the flan irregular, leaving portions of the design flat or off-flan. |
