| Opis rewersu | Apollo seated in three-quarter view to the left upon the omphalos, his nude figure rendered in the Hellenistic style. The god holds an arrow in his extended right hand and rests a bow in his left, referencing the standard Seleucid Apollo type from which this coinage derives. The Greek royal legend is disposed in two columns flanking the central figure, reading ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the left and ΚΑΜΝΙΣΚΙΡΟΥ ΝΙΚΗΦΟΡΟΣ to the right. The flan edges are irregular with slight weakness in the peripheral legend, consistent with the hand-struck technique of the Elymaean mint at Susa. |
