| Reverse description | Athena Nikephoros seated left upon a throne, her right hand extended and supporting a small winged Nike who holds a wreath, while her left arm rests upon a large round shield decorated with a gorgoneion. A long transverse spear rises diagonally in the background behind her. To the inner left field, an amphora serves as a mint control symbol, and in the exergue a boukranion (bull's head) faces forward with a fillet hanging from each horn, serving as an additional control mark. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ, reading 'of King Lysimachus', is disposed in two lines flanking the seated figure. |
