| Obverse description | Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, depicted in the Hellenistic portrait tradition with elaborately rendered flowing curls and the small horn of Ammon curving from his hair above the ear, alluding to his divine association with Zeus-Ammon. The portrait is rendered with fine detail and idealized features characteristic of the Lysimachean coinage, set within a plain inner field bordered by a beaded (dotted) outer circle. No legend appears on the obverse. |

| Reverse description | Athena Nikephoros seated left upon a throne, holding a winged Nike in her outstretched right hand, who crowns the royal name inscribed in the field; Athena's left arm rests upon a large round shield decorated with a lion's head boss. A transverse spear leans behind her figure. A monogram appears in the inner left field, and a fish hook symbol (or uncertain control mark) is placed in the exergue. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ runs in two lines flanking the figure, identifying the issuing authority as King Lysimachus. |
