Obverse description Diademed head of the deified Alexander III facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with flowing, wavy locks framing the face and curling behind the ear. A small ram's horn of Ammon curls forward above the ear, signifying Alexander's divine association with Zeus-Ammon. The portrait is struck in high relief with naturalistic modelling, displaying a slightly open mouth and idealized youthful features characteristic of posthumous Lysimachean coinage. The field is plain, with no legend on the obverse.
