| Beschrijving voorzijde | Diademed effigy of the deified Alexander III of Macedon facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with flowing, tousled hair secured by a royal diadem. The small curling horn of Ammon emerges just above the ear, signifying Alexander's divine association with the Egyptian god Zeus-Ammon. The portrait is boldly struck in high relief, with sharply defined facial features including a strong brow, prominent nose, and slightly parted lips.
