Reverse description Athena Nikephoros seated left upon a throne, her right hand extended to hold a small winged figure of Nike who crowns the royal legend above; her left arm rests upon a large round shield decorated with geometric ornament. A transverse spear leans against her left shoulder in the background. In the inner left field, a control monogram appears; on the throne seat, the civic mint mark BY (for Byzantion) is inscribed. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ runs around the upper and right fields, identifying this as a coin struck in the name of King Lysimachus.
