Obverse description Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, wearing the horn of Ammon curling forward above the ear, rendered in the characteristic posthumous Lysimachean portrait style. The hair is depicted in bold, flowing locks swept back from the forehead with considerable sculptural depth and energy. The facial features are idealized yet powerful, with a strong jaw and prominent profile. No legend appears on the obverse field.
