| Obverse description | Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, depicted with the ram's horn of Ammon curling behind his ear, a divine attribute associating him with Zeus-Ammon. The hair is rendered in thick, flowing locks swept back from the forehead and cascading behind the ear in the distinctive Lysimachean portrait style. The facial features are finely modeled in high relief, conveying an idealized heroic physiognomy. No legend appears on the obverse field. |
