| Obverse description | Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, depicted with the ram's horn of Ammon curling behind his ear, a divine attribute associating him with Zeus-Ammon. The hair is rendered in thick, flowing locks swept back from the forehead and cascading behind the ear in the distinctive Lysimachean portrait style. The facial features are finely modeled in high relief, conveying an idealized heroic physiognomy. No legend appears on the obverse field. |

| Reverse description | Athena Nikephoros seated left on a throne, wearing a crested Attic helmet and draped in a chiton, holding a small Nike in her outstretched right hand and resting her left arm on a large round shield propped against the throne. A spear leans against her left shoulder. The Greek royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the right and ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ to the left frames the central type, reading 'of King Lysimachus.' A serpent emerges from beneath the throne on the left. Mint control marks of Byzantion appear in the field. |
