Reverse description Athena Nikephoros seated left on a throne, wearing a crested Attic helmet and draped in a chiton, holding a small Nike in her outstretched right hand and resting her left arm on a large round shield propped against the throne. A spear leans against her left shoulder. The Greek royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the right and ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ to the left frames the central type, reading 'of King Lysimachus.' A serpent emerges from beneath the throne on the left. Mint control marks of Byzantion appear in the field.
