| Obverse description | Youthful head of Herakles in right profile, enveloped in the scalp of the Nemean lion, with the beast's gaping jaws framing the crown of the head and its forepaws knotted at the throat. The facial features are rendered in a vigorous, idealized Hellenistic style, with full lips, a pronounced brow, and flowing locks of hair visible beneath the lion-skin headdress. A dotted border is visible along the coin's rim. |
