| Beschrijving keerzijde | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a low stool-throne, his upper body nude and his lower body draped; he extends his right hand forward bearing an eagle, while his left hand rests on a tall upright sceptre. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field. In the left field appear two control monograms placed vertically, and below them an oenochoe (wine jug) facing right beneath a curling vine tendril — civic control symbols specific to the mint of Temnos identifying this issue within the posthumous Alexander series. |
