| Beschrijving voorzijde | Right-facing head of the deified Herakles in three-quarter relief, wearing the Nemean lion's scalp headdress tied beneath the chin, the mane rendered in flowing locks across the forehead and behind the ear. The facial features are finely modelled with a strong jaw and classical Greek idealization, consistent with the posthumous Alexandrine coinage tradition. The field is plain, with no legend, the design filling the flan in the characteristic style of late Macedonian-era tetradrachms struck in the Peloponnesian region. |
